Karungkarni Art & Culture is located at the entrance to Kalkarindji on the Victoria River. The name Karungkarni refers to the Child Dreaming for Gurindji People; a sacred site imbued with procreative powers. Elders named their Art Centre after this Dreaming to acknowledge their responsibility to pass on cultural knowledge to the children.

Policies

Shipping policy

  • Artwork costs include shipping within Australia.
  • All artworks and/or items are sent via either Australia Post or Startrack Courier.
  • All artworks will be processed, packed and shipped as soon as possible after the end of art fair.
  • Karungkarni Art is located in a very remote region and delivery of artworks cannot be made from our Community. Our staff will deliver the artworks to Darwin (840km return). Once artworks are delivered to Darwin, they will be shipped in cardboard mailing tubes to you. Please allow 2-3 weeks for shipping
  • Many of our canvas/linen artworks are already stretched onto frames. If you wish to have your artwork delivered on the frame, please contact us to organise a quote for shipping.
  • For shipping quotes for international orders, please contact Karungkarni Art directly through email. Karungkarni Art does not take responsibility for any customs charges that may be charged by the destination country.

Refund policy

Refunds will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

It is important to us that you are happy with your purchase, if not we will refund/exchange the value of the artwork, minus the freight costs. Refunds and exchanges are not available for change of mind. Please choose carefully, and check your order details before completing your purchase.

 

Return policy

You must notify Karungkarni Art within 10 days of receiving the artwork to request a refund or exchange. You need only pay the cost of returning the artwork to us. The artwork must be returned in its original condition with all of its accompanying documentation for the guarantee to apply. When the artwork is received, you will receive your refund/exchange credit.

The Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation acknowledges the value, diversity and integrity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, design, music and performance as an integral expression of Australian culture.
