The Artists of the Barkly collective represents over fifty artists living in five remote communities from across the Barkly region: Tennant Creek, Wutunugurra (Epenarra), Owairtilla (Canteen Creek), Kulumindini (Elliott), and Mungkarta (McLaren Creek). Whilst sharing a remote, rugged landscape and an interest in Country, modern history and life in the Barkly, the artists from each community exhibit a distinctive style, producing a vast breadth in the variety of work made across the collective and demonstrating the profound influence of the art centre setting.

Shipping policy

Postage within Australia is free.

Please clearly nominate a delivery address.

All artworks are posted using Australia Post unless other delivery arrangements are made with the art centre.

Every effort is made to dispatch artworks as quickly as possible, but specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Please keep in mind that you are purchasing something from a remote community. Minimum delivery time is one week after the item has been posted.

If a purchase has been damaged during shipment please photograph its condition on a arrival and notify the art centre immediately.

Refund policy

Customers opting to return a purchase will receive a full refund after the art centre is satisfied the work is in the condition that it was originally dispatched and all of its accompanying documentation is returned.

 

Return policy

It is important to us that you are satisfied with your purchase, works purchased through Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair therefore have a 10 day money back period. If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, you must notify Barkly Regional Arts and post the work for return within 10 days of receiving your purchase. A purchaser taking this option will pay in full for the safe return of the artwork.  After the art centre is satisfied the work is in the condition that it was originally dispatched and all of its accompanying documentation is returned, a refund for the cost of the item will be sent.

The Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation acknowledges the value, diversity and integrity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, design, music and performance as an integral expression of Australian culture. We respect the work of Art Centres in their support of the richness of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural aspirations and expressions.

We acknowledge the Larrakia people, both past and present, as the Traditional Owners of the land upon which the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair Foundation will present its key events. We appreciate the opportunity to share this Country and are committed to working together and appropriately consulting with the Larrakia people in presenting the Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair.
